Richard McLaren announced as a member of the Independent Commission for the World Anti-Doping Agency

McKenzie Lake lawyer Richard McLaren has recently been announced by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) that he will be a part of the three-person Independent Commission that will investigate allegations of doping and ineffective administration of anti-doping processes including sample collection and results management.

Richard McLaren has extensive experience in international sports law, as a longstanding member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and having cultivated relationships in the international commercial arbitration community over his 40-year career in commercial litigation.

The Independent Commission is chaired by Richard W. Pound, former WADA President and includes Günter Younger, Head of Department Cybercrime with Bavarian Landeskriminalamt (LKA) as its third member.
