Biography

“As a lawyer with a background in social work, I understand the nuanced psychological and social concerns of my clients. I pursue strategies that achieve client goals by responding to the complex dimensions of my client’s needs.”

Hannah is an associate at McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP practicing exclusively in the area of family law.  Her practice encompasses a broad range of family law matters, including parenting issues, property division, domestic contracts and complex financial matters.

With a Master’s degree in Social Work, Hannah has a nuanced understanding of the psychological and social factors that underly the breakdown of a relationship. It’s her goal to provide practical and effective legal advocacy that is client-focused and trauma-informed. While prioritizing a favourable and amicable outcome, Hannah is prepared to litigate to achieve the best outcome for her client.

Hannah received her Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a degree in Political Science. She then attended the University of Windsor, where she concurrently earned her MSW and JD. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023.

During law school, Hannah was a participant in the Walsh Family Law Moot, where her team placed second overall. She also worked at Community Legal Aid, where she provided legal services to low-income residents in the City of Windsor. Hannah’s social work experience ranges from volunteering with women’s shelters, working at legal clinics, and developing counselling programs at a multi-national organization. 

Outside of the office, Hannah enjoys walking her rescue dog, going to farmers’ markets, and drinking too much coffee.
