The statement of claim was filed May 2, 2014.
On March 31, 2014, GMC announced that if the power steering is lost, the subject vehicles will revert to a manual steering mode, requiring greater driver effort to steer at low vehicle speeds, which could result in an increased risk of a crash.
The plaintiffs allege that GM and GMC were negligent in the design, manufacture and installation of the electric power steering assist in the Vehicles which was a dangerous defect.
