Catherine Shearer has dedicated her practice to helping those who have suffered life-changing injuries as she has seen through one of her close family member’s struggles, the devastating effects of such injuries. Catherine has witnessed the physical and emotional toll it takes on an injured person and their families.

Catherine’s passion for helping others is also fueled by the injustices that injured victims face. She believes in a results-based practice that is built upon advocating for human values over corporate values. The values of care, compassion, fairness, and strength.

Prior to joining McKenzie Lake, Catherine created a personal injury practice at a prominent Guelph law firm from the ground up where she practiced for several years. Catherine started her legal career in 2011 where she gained experience in personal injury with the sole focus on helping those who had suffered life-altering injuries and disabilities. Outside of the office, Catherine is a health enthusiast. You will find her reading up on the latest health and wellness trends, hiking, running, doing yoga, going to the gym, and trying to play golf. Catherine also enjoys spending time with her family including her young son and two dogs.
