McKenzie Lake Lawyers is pleased to welcome Mary Doran to the firm as an associate.
Mary joined McKenzie Lake Lawyer’s Wills & Estates group having acquired significant trusts and estates lawexperience in her own practice, in addition to litigation experience working with Deloitte Canada and the Ministry of the Attorney General in Toronto. Drawn to the personal nature of her practice, she combines her legal expertise with a sensitivity to the emotional complexities that can often accompany estate law and related issues. She is adept at devising practical strategies to meet clients’ individual priorities and circumstances.
She assists clients in a number of areas of law including:
- Wills and estates,
- incapacity planning,
- human rights, and
- elder law.
Mary has attained the specialist TEP qualification and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is bilingual in French and English and is a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario. She is happy to serve her clients in either language.
Mary is trained in both the common law and civil law systems, having earned a common law degree (LL.B.) from Trinity College Dublin (University of Dublin) and a civil law degree (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa. Mary also completed a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in international law and human rights.
