McKenzie Lake supports the Children’s Health Foundation

McKenzie Lake is proud to support the Children’s Health Foundation and the Women’s and Children’s Simulation Program. In their aim to support excellence in paediatric health care, research and rehabilitation, the simulation program will help to educate and train physicians and staff in paediatric care. Last year, Children’s Hospital received over 100,000 patient visits, 36,000 of which were visits to the Paediatric Emergency Department. As the regional paediatric referral centre for Southwestern Ontario, Children’s Hospital is the hub for training and education programs that are attended by physicians and staff across the region.

The newly renovated Women’s and Children’s Simulation Program will be in the heart of the hospital on the 3rd floor, will accommodate two simulation suites, allowing for multiple simulation scenarios to take place at the same time, and therefore, more learning capabilities. McKenzie Lake is excited to help fund this project for the people at Children’s Hospital, and give back to the community in a way that is tangible and important.
