McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP is working cooperatively with Klein Lawyers LLP to pursue a class action lawsuit against WESTON BAKERIES LIMITED, WESTON FOODS (CANADA) INC., and GEORGE WESTON LIMITED on behalf of Independent Distributors.
It is alleged that the Defendants participated in an illegal conspiracy to fix bread prices. The Defendants concealed this wrongdoing from the Plaintiff and class members (distributors of Weston products), breaching their statutory and common law duty of fair dealing to existing distributors. When the conspiracy became public, many of independent outlets ceased purchasing the Defendants’ products from the Plaintiff and class members (distributors). As a result, the Plaintiff and class members suffered substantial losses of revenue, lost sales, and capital losses of the value of their businesses.
