Precedent-Setting Systemic Negligence Case upheld by Ontario Court of Appeal – Grenville Christian College Class Action

The Honourable Justice van Rensburg, writing the decision for the Ontario Court of Appeal today, confirmed the trial judge’s finding in the Grenville Christian College Class Action, that the school was systemically negligent in its operation, and its practices breached the standards of the day and were harmful to students.

“This appeal decision is a further vindication and validation for the former students of Grenville.  And it’s a commendation in many respects, to the representative plaintiffs’ courage and perseverance in pursuing this case for more than a decade, and never backing down.” says co-counsel for the Class, Sabrina Lombardi.
