How many ugly sweaters does it take to make a successful holiday contest?

On Friday December 7th, McKenzie Lake kicked off the holiday season with our second annual Ugly Sweater contest. With close to 50 participants, there were brilliant and tacky big box and DIY sweaters adorned with pom-poms, bows, beads, lights and tinsel. One red plaid suit worn by Alf Mamo, a fashionable silver bells jacket worn by Michael Lake and no one will forget Jim Elsley, who demonstrated his courage for the unexpected by wearing an Elf Onesie.

Closing the office at noon, we all enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the London Club. After a number of door prizes and before adorning a variety of props for the photo booth, our Articling Students displayed their game show prowess by putting on a McKenzie Lake version of Family Feud. Lawyers played against staff to see which team could master the art of answering mostly useless trivia. Can you guess which team won?

All in all a wonderful way to kick of the holiday season. Thank you to the McKenzie Lake Events Committee, the London Club and @muscicentralentertainment.
