As Chief Information Officer and Director of Marketing, Laurie leads the planning and execution of the firm’s strategic technology and marketing plans.

With more than 30 years in the legal industry, Laurie remains curious about what’s next while staying grounded in what works. She enjoys helping organizations navigate change, solve complex problems and find practical ways forward.

As Chief Information Officer and Director of Marketing at McKenzie Lake Lawyers LLP, Laurie leads initiatives involving technology, information governance, knowledge management and marketing. Her focus is on aligning business objectives, people and technology to improve how things work and create value for the people the firm serves. Sometimes that means introducing new technology, sometimes it means removing obstacles and, occasionally, it means herding cats.

A strong believer in sharing knowledge and experience, Laurie has contributed to the legal and technology communities as a speaker, writer and mentor. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her leadership and innovative work in both the legal technology and communications communities.

Outside her responsibilities at McKenzie Lake, Laurie has been an active contributor to the broader business and professional community. She served on the Board of Directors of the London Chamber of Commerce and has held leadership roles with Women in Communications and Technology.

Away from work and community involvement, Laurie enjoys yoga, travelling and settling in with a good book—paper, not Kindle.
