Biography

Scott has practised primarily in the areas of family law and personal injury litigation since his call to the Bar in 1977.  In his personal injury practice, Scott has represented accident victims and their families in serious personal injury cases resulting in fair and just settlements or awards for his clients.  In his family law practice, Scott's professional reputation can be attributed to the time and energy that he devotes to his clients and the results of those efforts either in the courtroom or at the negotiating table.  Scott represents clients in all aspects of family law including domestic contracts, property and trust matters, support and custody and access disputes.

Scott is a member of the London Middlesex Law Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA).

Away from the office and the courtroom, Scott's interests revolve around the hockey rink, his cottage on the Bruce Peninsula and his canoe.  Scott has a long history of coaching high performance women's hockey in the London area where he has coached teams to Provincial Championships on two occasions and in 2009 was named the Provincial Women's Hockey League Coach of the Year.  Scott has completed the Hockey Canada Advanced One Coaching Program and is a frequent participant in both national and international coaching clinics and conferences.

After hanging up his skates each spring, Scott's interests turn to his cottage at Pike Bay, Ontario, where he relaxes with his family and pretends to be able to carry out cottage repairs.  Life in the outdoors is important to Scott, with or without the creature comforts of his cottage.  With both friends and family, Scott has paddled many of the northern lakes and rivers of Ontario and Quebec.
