Biography

“My goal is to not only provide clients with important legal guidance, but also play the role of business confidant to ensure the best solution depending on the circumstances.”

Beth practices in the firm’s corporate, commercial and real estate groups. She services a broad range of clients, including institutional investors, corporations, lenders, commercial property owners, advisers, and developers. Beth’s practice has a strong focus on the development and negotiation of agreements for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of infrastructure; she also drafts and provides advice in the commercial leasing context.

Beth regularly advises purchasers, vendors and target companies on merger and acquisition transactions. She also has extensive experience in general commercial matters, financial services, leasing, contract review and corporate governance. In addition to providing general corporate advice to clients, Beth has expertise in structuring, negotiating and implementing strategic alliances (including partnerships and joint ventures) and reorganizations. Clients rely on Beth to assist them in every facet of their business, from negotiating and drafting complex agreements, to structuring transactions and implementing the corresponding financing.  Beth appreciates that clients rely on her to complete challenging and complex matters.

Beth completed her law school at Dalhousie University and worked as an associate at a large downtown Toronto firm before returning to her hometown. Beth tries to give back to the community on a regular basis, most recently by joining the board of directors of a not-for-profit licensed childcare provider. When not at the office Beth can be found attempting new curry recipes and trying to keep up with her two children.
