Professional Experience and Activities
John’s primary area of practice focuses on commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
In 2004 to 2005, John served as Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he led a team of international prosecutors in the state court in Sarajevo. Starting in 2006, John undertook a prosecution assignment for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Basra, Iraq.
John has prosecuted narcotics, excise and income tax offences as a Federal Prosecutor. He co-edited The Annotated Ontario Employment Law Statutes (Carswell: 1986) and was Associate Editor of Canadian Cases on Employment Law (Carswell: 1986-89). John is an Arbitrator-Member of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario. In 1998, John was appointed a member of the Ontario Consent & Capacity Board and from 1999 to 2003 was appointed Vice Chair.
