Professional Experience and Activities

Stephen practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, securities law and income tax litigation. He has acted for a wide variety of public and private corporations. He has considerable experience in securities law and served as a Commissioner (part-time) of the Ontario Securities Commission from 1996 to 2002. He also has substantial experience in income tax litigation.

Stephen is the author of a leading corporate law text, the Annotated Ontario Business Corporations Act, published by Canada Law Book Inc. and advises that publisher on other business law publications. He has broad experience in community service and has acted as a director of numerous charitable organizations, including the Board of Governors of The University of Western Ontario. A former member of the Board of Commissioners of Police for the City of London, he is presently Chancellor of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario of The Anglican Church of Canada.
